In 2010, Brian earned a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. In August 2014, Brian accepted a part-time position as Minister for Campus Engagement at United University Church and was ordained by the Pacific Presbytery on March 7, 2015. In addition to providing pastoral care for students, staff, and faculty, Brian headed UUC’s partnership with another organization to transform and grow a student-feeding program, ultimately serving up to 100 students in need each night.  

Prior to ordination, Brian was a resident in Clinical Pastoral Education at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where he provided spiritual care for children and families during health crises. Later, he entered and completed a three-year certificate program in spiritual direction from the Stillpoint Center for Christian Spirituality.
